The Athlete’s Palate Cookbook

The family really does know me. My sister got me The Athlete’s Palate Cookbook for Christmas, she said it was hot off the presses, just came out a week or so ago. I was SUPER excited! I was flipping through the recipes soon after the present opening session. This book is a compilation of recipes by world renowned chefs some of which are also athletes, so you know they are going to be good! There is a variety of recipes and they are categorized by “recovery” or “training” which was cool but I would eat them anytime!
Tonight I decided to try a yummy looking soup, which happened to use ham, and you know I have a bit of ham leftover from this past weekend. It was also super quick and perfect for the frigid temperatures we are experiencing this week.

I won’t post the recipe since the book is brand new and well, you should buy it for yourself! But I will say the soup had ham, white beans and cabbage…lots of good for you stuff and lots of flavor! Scottie liked the salt in it (from the ham so be sure to taste before you season!) but didn’t care for the cabbage. I loved every part of it and am happy to have leftovers for the rest of the week.
